A truly exceptional material, the mammoth molar is extremely prized in cutlery. Having disappeared more than 10,000 years ago, mammoths are currently found in the permafrost (eternal frost) in Siberia. With global warming, these hostile lands are revealing, on the surface, remains of Mammoths in a perfectly preserved state.
This molar was stained and then stabilized in a special resin.🦣
Mechanism in high quality 12 C 27 carbon stainless steel from the Forges de Thiers, the world capital of cutlery.
Completely handmade.
Hand-made guilloche work on the spring.
Leather pouch included.
